Daytime slow? Try Searchlights! (Click the Moon!) |
Carbon Arc searchlights were the mainstay of the searchlight buisiness for many years. Recently, Skytracker style lights- typically in quad formations- have taken their place alongside the Big Iron. Let's face it- Carbon Arcs were built for WWII. You can't exactly walk in to your local boutique and buy one (for a more enlightened discussion, see "So You Think It's Easy.."). Both types of lights have their place and augment each other. We can help select what's right for you. |

Carbon Arc lights are big and impressive, especially if they are well maintained. They have excellant range, providing a "farfield", or "Long Pull" draw. We have a number of carbon arc's, so if you really want to light up the sky, we can do it (check out the Cambridge photos in the Gallery). We also offer the "SuperBrights", where we have replaced the carbon arc rods with extremely high output arc lamps. Call for details. |
